Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirement:


Appropriate university degree and professional qualification; Consumer studies teaching experience at senior high school level ; Ability to teach another high school subjects is advantageous and might result in position being full time. Current Registration with SACE; Computer literacy and ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching/learning, however, special interest and further

experience in this area will be advantageous.

A dynamic, creative personality with strong interpersonal skills; A commitment to full participation in the extra-mural activities of the school; Teaching experience within the IEB system is essential; Experience in the demands of the GET and FET curricula; Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school. Police Clearance

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:


Prepare for, teach and assess beyond the requirements of the IEB's Document and Requirements; Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to healthy, connective and where possible cutting-edge teaching and learning; Set, mark and evaluate class work, homework, assessments, examinations and provide regular and meaningful feedback

to students/staff/parents;

Moderate formal assessments and/or research projects; Monitor, encourage pastoral care; * Engage and participate in the reflection and staff development process of the School.
