Construction Manager
Job Description
We are inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Construction Manager / Site Agent for an active road project.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall site management and supervision of construction activities
Ensure works are executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contract conditions (FIDIC)
Coordinate subcontractors, plant, labour, and materials
Liaise with the Engineer, client representatives, and stakeholders
Manage construction programme and ensure milestones are met
Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental requirements
Prepare site reports, progress claims, and records
Implement traffic accommodation and road safety measures
Minimum Requirements:
National Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Minimum 8 years experience in road construction projects
ECSA registration ( Pr. Tech / Pr. Eng ) or SACPCMP registration (Pr. CM)
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Site Agent
Sound knowledge of SANRAL / provincial specifications and FIDIC contracts
Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
Valid drivers licence
