Well known company within the petroleum industry based in the Northern Suburbs, is looking for an energetic and positive natured individual to be part of their technical team. If you have been previous employed as an Onsite Fuel Construction Manager, then this opportunity is for you. You will have a minimum of 4 - 5 years' experience within this environment.

You will be responsible for the on-site management, coordination, and execution of fuel station construction, upgrades, and maintenance projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in fuel tanks, fuel dispensing systems, and civil engineering works, combined with excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills. The incumbent will ensure that all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.

Responsibilities will be but not limited to:

Fuel Systems Installation & Maintenance:

Supervise and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of:

Fuel tanks (above-ground and underground)

Fuel dispensers

Submersible fuel pumps

Associated piping, valves, and mechanical equipment

Ensure correct commissioning and testing of fuel systems in line with regulatory and manufacturer standards

Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of fuel station equipment

Manage upgrades of existing fuel stations, including system replacements and modernisation

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams both telephonically and on-site

Attend site meetings and provide professional feedback on progress, challenges, and project milestones

Address client queries and concerns promptly and professionally to maintain strong working relationships

Engineering & Technical Oversight (Civil)

Coordinate civil engineering works, including excavation, concrete works, foundations, and structural installations

Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and site plans to guide construction activities

Education:

Matric

Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (advantageous)

Minimum 5 years' experience in fuel station construction, maintenance, and upgrades

Hands-on experience with installation, fabrication, and maintenance of fuel systems

Valid driver's license

Willingness to work on-site and travel as required

Skills & Abilities:

Proven experience in fuel tanks, fuel stations, and petroleum-related construction projects

Strong knowledge of fuel dispensing systems and submersible pumps

Solid understanding of civil engineering principles

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong leadership and team management ability

High attention to detail and quality control

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Computer literacy for emails, reporting, and documentation
