Company and :
A leading supplier of construction-related materials, specializing in the production of Cement, Aggregate and Readymix Concrete is looking for a Consolidation Manager to join their formidable team. The ideal candidate must have a stable employment record with 7 years experience in Group Financial Consolidations, including 3 years plus management experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing accurate and timely financial information to both group internal and external stakeholders monthly and annually as required
  • Preparation of annual financial statements including consolidated statements and accounts preparation for approval by the Company, Holding Company and its subsidiaries, complying to international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Continuous improvement of reporting standards, implementation of new standards in terms of IFRS and the development of control systems
  • Compilation of consolidated reports and preparation of the consolidated budget and forecasts
  • Assisting with and compiling of budget and forecasts for SSC cost centres
  • Ensuring statutory compliance to IFRS, IAS, Companies Act and financial Legislation
  • Support the group with expert financial skills to achieve business objectives
  • Provide the appropriate advice and consultation to ensure that sound financial practices are implemented
  • Perform consolidation of Group accounts (including the balancing and confirmation of individual companies in the Group that contribute towards the Group data)
  • Prepare financial accountants and management reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collect the budget input and analyse to ensure that all relevant actions were completed in accordance with the budgetary guidelines
  • Prepare complete set of consolidated financial statements (statement of financial position, statement of comprehensive income and statement of cash flows) for budgeting and forecasting purposes
  • Maintain sound relationship with role players and stake holders internally and externally
  • Be fluent with SAP BPC reporting and provide BPC support to end users including validating information accuracy, compliance with reporting, training and procedures
  • Manage direct reports to meet the defined objectives of the area
  • Assist sundry finance staff in implementing processes aimed at managing costs
  • Manage the integrity of the general ledger and reporting requirements
Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • Registered CA(SA) non-negotiable
  • Seven years experience in Group Financial Consolidations including management experience (3-5 years)
  • SAP BPC non-negotiable
  • IFRS non-negotiable
