Requirements
Minimum 3 years baking experience
Matric / NQF Level 4 or equivalent
Recognized technical qualification in Confectionery
Passionate about food, people, and cleanliness
Willingness to work shifts
Creative flair for product presentation
Completion of safety, bakery manufacturing, and hygiene training
Understanding of cold chain and hygiene protocols
In-depth knowledge of confectionery products, ingredients, and quality indicators
Knowledge of bakery equipment operation and maintenance
Clean Criminal Record
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
Take orders accurately and provide product advice.
Stock Control
Mix, prepare, and bake a variety of confectionery products to meet quality standards
Creatively decorate confectionery items ensuring appealing presentation
Interpret recipe costings and accurately prepare recipes
Lead and manage a team effectively, delegating tasks as required
Maintain hygiene, safety, and housekeeping standards in the bakery
Monitor and maintain ideal stock levels within the production chain
Ensure cold chain procedures are followed to maintain product quality
Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and correctly
Stay updated on current and future baking and confectionery trends
Clean display cabinets, tools, and preparation areas throughout the day.
Follow strict hygiene and food safety standards.
