-Lead the Concentrator team to optimise process stability and recovery to meet current and future plans and targets in an effective, efficient and safe way. The role has legal accountability with a 3.1 appointment in terms of the MHSA.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Provides visible felt leadership in safety, sustainable development and Valterra Platinum values. Manages Concentrator operations safely, efficiently and cost effectively to meet short term and long term production objectives. Creates, develops, mentors and motivates effective management, operational, maintenance and technical teams. Ensures correct resources are available to deliver business targets (e.g. quality and volume). Ensures compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practices. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Accountable for continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives for Concentrator. Effective operation of the plants process to agreed business plan and process parameters Creating a high performing team and a conducive employee relations climate Administration of necessary systems Plant cost Legislative requirements Corporate governance External stakeholder liaison

This role is at a Band 5 level reporting to the GM Concentrators.

Qualifications

-Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy qualification. Completed A management development programme

Experience, Technical Knowledge and skills

At least 10 years post graduate qualification experience relevant for the role. Good technical ability Knowledge of the best utilization/business applications of management and plant processing. Advanced computer literacy.
