Job Description


Job Purpose

The Compliance Team Leader will report directly to the Chief Specialist: Governance and Compliance. The employee will be responsible for managing of a team of technical compliance analysts, reporting, and dealing with queries from third parties. The team is responsible for auditing and monitoring compliance amongst the FAIMS Finance and Insurance Specialists and Dealership deal files. The individual will be based at FAIMS Head Office in Bruma and will be responsible for assisting with compliance audits, investigations, and reporting.
Specific Role Responsibilities

Job Outputs

  • Day-to-day team management
  • Ensure individual staff members perform against set targets
  • Coaching and training new staff members, dealer staff and F&I staff members
  • Trend analysis
  • Weekly team meetings with team members
  • Monthly reporting
  • Tending to escalations from business units
  • Tending to queries received from business units, partners and third parties
  • Adheres to service and quality standards
  • Performs quality checks on own work and team membersxe2x80x99 Monthly audits of the team
  • Allocation of work to the team
  • Updating and enhancing process manuals and procedures
  • Ability and desire to understand and apply company documentation, involving extensive reading and interpretation of legal documents
  • Other ad hoc duties that may arise but are not limited to the above
  • Support to the Chief Specialist: Governance and Compliance
Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum Grade 12 / Matric
  • RE1
  • FSCA Category 1 Approved Compliance Officer (advantageous)
  • Qualification in Compliance, Audit or Management would be beneficial
  • Drivers Licence
Minimum Experience

Minimum of 3 years compliance experience within Financial Services or Insurance Experience or knowledge in Compliance
