An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading public sector entity seeking a highly experienced and self-directed Compliance Risk Specialist to join their dynamic team based in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Manager: Compliance Risk, this role sits within the Large Business & International Division, where your expertise will help shape strategies that support voluntary compliance, identify key tax-related risks, and ensure sound governance.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of tax-related compliance behaviour with a focus on Transfer Pricing
• Plan and implement compliance interventions across large business and international tax segments
• Provide strategic input into risk profiling and operational decision-making
• Initiate and support process improvements and risk optimisation strategies
• Engage with stakeholders across internal and external structures to enhance service delivery
• Monitor, report and escalate risk-related issues, breaches and trends
• Interpret and apply relevant policies, legislation, and best practice standards

Key Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) with 5-7 years experience in CIT risk profiling
• OR Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 10 years related experience
• Minimum 2-3 years at a functional specialist level in Transfer Pricing and/or International Tax
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience in risk analysis and compliance strategy development
• Deep understanding of governance frameworks, legislative compliance, and ethical standards
