As a Commis Chef at Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel you are part of a team that shapes the culinary experience of our guests. Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare food and provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to all the customers (both internal
• and external) as per the set standards.
• Ensure that the quality & quantity standards of preparations and presentations are adhered to in the section.
• Perform basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.
• Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
• Preparing basic salads and sauces.
• Plating and presenting meal items as per the seniorsxe2x80x99 instructions.
• Ensures hygiene and cleanliness of his/her area at all times.
• Judging quality of raw material & providing quality finished products.
• To follow safety rules and procedures at work.
• Assist with deliveries and restocking.
• Assist with stock rotation.
• To carry out any additional tasks as assigned.
• Should maintain awareness of food cost, ensure minimum spoilage and wastage at all times.

Requirements:
Commis Chef

Experience & Qualifications

• Graduate from a Hotel Management Institute or Food Production Course from a reputed institute xe2x80x93 advantageous.
• 1 years relevant working experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Good knowledge of hygiene & safety standards.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Team & Goal Orientated.
• Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene.
