Role Overview:

Join our clients dynamic team as a Commercial Underwriter, where you'll deliver exceptional commercial lines underwriting services to our stakeholders. Your role would be vital in retaining existing clients and securing new business, all while supporting the business strategy and maintaining high standards.

This role supports brokers in the Australian market, so time shifting is required. You'll work from 04h00 to 12h30--perfect for early risers! Enjoy the flexibility of a remote or hybrid setup while making a significant impact.

What you will do:

Take proactive measures to minimize cancellations. Achieve and surpass retention targets. Contribute to reducing general expenses. Ensure all communications with stakeholders (clients, account executives, insurers) are accurate, timely, professional, and relevant. Build and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to achieving personal and company client satisfaction goals. Uphold company quality standards and regulatory frameworks across various processes, including but not limited to: Address queries related to cover, products, processes, etc. Analyze clients' portfolios. Request, obtain, and assess quotes from insurers. Provide clients with necessary information and documents. Raise premiums. File all relevant documents electronically and in hard copy. Follow retention processes. Cancel policies in the system. Confirm cancellation requests with clients. File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy. Raise invoices and request refunds from the line manager electronically. File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy. Engage in timely and proactive communication with client account executives regarding portfolio movements and servicing needs. Ensure productivity and performance targets are met. Contribute to continuous improvement in individual and team performance. Adhere to company mandates and participate in ad hoc projects. Report any suspected fraud, misrepresentation, or dishonesty. Maintain accurate records of all activities.

What you need to have:

Matric or equivalent. Computer literate. Excellent communication skills. A stable and reliable internet connection is essential. 5 years of experience in a client services/broker environment. * 5 years of experience as a Commercial Lines Underwriter.
