Our Online Shopping APP Client is seeking to employ a skilled Commercial Director from the FMCG Industry. We will only shortlist candidates with extensive procurement, buying and negotiation skills. We need a Commercial Director who can build a team for our client and a supplier base.
Strategic Sourcing: Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. This involves identifying potential suppliers, conducting market research, negotiating contracts, and selecting the most suitable suppliers.
Supplier Management: Managing relationships with existing suppliers and evaluating their performance. This includes conducting supplier audits, monitoring quality standards, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
Supplier Negotiations: Negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, such as pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and service level agreements. The Procurement and Supplier Manager aims to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and reliability.
Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborating with other departments, such as production, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure an efficient and effective supply chain. This involves forecasting demand, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to meet production requirements.
Risk Management: Assessing and managing risks associated with the supply chain, such as supply disruptions, quality issues, or changes in market conditions. Developing contingency plans and working closely with suppliers to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
Contract Management: Overseeing the administration and compliance of procurement contracts. This includes reviewing and negotiating contract terms, monitoring contract performance, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement within the procurement function. Implementing best practices, leveraging technology, and driving efficiency across the procurement process.
Market Intelligence: Keeping abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and supplier capabilities. Staying informed about new products, innovations, and emerging suppliers that could provide a competitive advantage to the company.
