Cold Room Technician
Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Cold Room Technician located in Durban. As a Cold Room Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting all components of cold rooms, refrigeration systems, and related equipment. Your primary duties will involve performing regular maintenance checks, attending to emergencies, and providing technical support in choosing optimal storage solutions for various food items and pharmaceutical products.
Qualifications
Minimum of an NQF Level 4 Certificate in Refrigeration or HVAC systems, or a related field.
Experience as a Cold Room Technician, with demonstrated knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Knowledge of and experience with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and industrial control systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints related to refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred.
The willingness to acquire any necessary additional training, certification, or qualification as needed.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills with a strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and top-notch performance.
