This include speed (max. speed limit for company vehicles 80km/hour), weight, signage and documentation.
Ensure that the vehicle is always secured with chock blocks.
Be in the possession of a valid identity document, driver's licence and PDP.
It is the driver's responsibility to renew these as required.

Ensure that company vehicles are clean at all times
This includes the cab, inside and outside and the tanker, inside and outside.
Report all incidents that affect tanker cleanliness immediately.
Report any faults which may result in spills or damage to vehicles or third-party property Complete a daily record of the physical, electrical and mechanical condition of the vehicle, hereby being proactive by identifying any factors that could render the vehicle in a condition that is not roadworthy (vehicle inspection).
This is done on the company vehicle inspection sheets and handed in daily.
Complete a daily tyre, spill kit and fire extinguisher check.
Deliver any and all items related to the business function, whilst keeping accurate logs of all trips that relate the use of road tankers on the public roads of South Africa.
Report to the manager at 7:00am daily for the scheduling meeting. Late-comings must be reported and approved by the logistic controller before 7:30.
Deliver or collect items related to the business function, as instructed by the manager.
Deliver or collect all items as may be required by Management.
Ensure all delivery and collection documentation are completed correctly.
All delivery notes must have an order number.
These documents must be given to the Data capturer/manager as soon as a load is completed. Complete any non-driver related job which management deems to be fair and reasonable. Ensure the vehicle is weighed as per the SOP (empty and full). Keep a log of all trips, customers/suppliers and distances (trip sheet).
Completed trip sheet must be handed to the logistic controller by the 13th of every month. Company uniforms that are neat and clean must be worn daily and all PPE requirements adhered to.
No unauthorized stopping is allowed.
Any stops must be pre-approved by the manager/GM. No personal 'side trips' are allowed with a company vehicle.
Drivers may not have passengers in their vehicles and if found to be transporting other people may face dismissal.
Only approved routes, as per the manager are to be followed. Any deviations must be pre-approved by the logistic controller.
Security of vehicle and product entrusted to you (including tyres, chock blocks, fire extinguishers and diesel consumption).
Do not leave with company vehicle keys in your possession when leaving the company property. If you do, you will be required to return the keys/property to the depot at your own expense and on the same day that you left with it.
Do not leave the vehicles keys in a vehicle while unattended. Keys must be handed to security. No reversing on the weighbridge.
If any damage to property or vehicle is caused by reversing on the weighbridge, the driver will be held financially liable.
No reversing without guidance. If I do and any damages occur, the driver will be held financially liable. Responsible for the diesel/toll card at all times.
Report any issues regarding the card to the GM immediately.
Be available after hours and on weekends to do loads as required.
Communicate all issues arising onsite or offsite to management

Damage to company vehicles or property must be reported to the manager immediately.
Ensure that the Driver's manual is complete and available in the vehicle at all times. Report faults to manager.
Reachable and all times. If a call cannot be taken immediately, it will be returned as soon as it is safe to do so.
Ensure sufficient airtime for communication. Report any shortages, returns to the manager before leaving the customer/supplier.
Report any delays at a customer/supplier immediately.
