Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy-duty vehicles, strictly adhering to traffic rules and safety guidelines.
- Ensure on-time and secure delivery of goods, maintaining the condition of the cargo throughout transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any issues and ensuring proper maintenance.
- Optimize delivery routes, considering road conditions and potential obstacles to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with clients and team members.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, representing the company with a professional image.
- Valid Code 14 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Code 14 driver, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Comprehensive knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle loading and unloading responsibilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business demands.
