CODE 14 BVO DRIVER

The purpose of a driver is the timely delivery and/or collections of products, etc. The driver is also responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and periodic checks of the vehicles and to assist with other tasks as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent Level 4 qualification issued by SAQA Unendorsed driver's license - Code 14 and PDP Dangerous goods(requirement) Computer Literate - Basic Fluent at English and/or Afrikaans Previous LPG or Fuel transportation experience will be an advantage

MAIN DUTIES & KEY RISK AREAS

:

Drive vehicles to designated destinations for customer product deliveries and/or collections Drive safely and deliver products within deadlines Analyze delivery address, determine appropriate routes and maintain schedule Report any accidents or injuries to Manager immediately Load and unload products from trucks and trailers Perform vehicle inspection such as checking fluid level and tire pressure regularly (checklist provided) Notify Manager about any major repairs and maintenances Follow local driving laws and road regulations Maintain the vehicle and ensure that the vehicle is clean and safe at all times Collect payments from customer at the time of product delivery, if so required Perform vehicle inspection before and after each trip Adhere to company operating policies and procedures Maintain driving log, prepare vehicle performance forms and complete daily paperwork Provide special care in delivering fragile and hazardous products Reading Comprehension Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents Clear communication with the Manager on arrival to destination or any delays and problems (damages and/or missing stock) that have arisen and return ETA. Communication with client when on site Report any damages immediately to the client and Manager Ensure the safety of the stock when travelling Ensure paperwork i.e. Delivery and Collection notes are fully completed per job i.e.
- Ensure that the driver and crew information is completed
