Role Description

We are seeking a

CNC Machine Operator

to support our precision engineering and engraving processes.

This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Operator located in Durban. The CNC Operator will be responsible for machine operation, quality control, and working with various machinery on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate engraving aligned with customer specifications and traceability requirements. Conduct inspections to verify engraving quality and permanence. Set up and operate Machine/engraving systems for marking, identification, and labelling of rollers. CNC Machine Operation and Machinery skills Quality Control and Machining skills Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions Knowledge of CNC programming and operation. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain machinery Team player with good communication skills Previous experience in a manufacturing environment Interpret technical drawings and production specifications for roller dimensions and tolerances. Make precise offset and tooling adjustments to maintain accuracy and consistency. Assist with ceramic coating preparation and post-processing stages as needed. General: Perform preventative maintenance on machines and report faults to the engineering team. Adhere to company health and safety protocols, including PPE use and machine guarding procedures. Maintain accurate production logs and ensure traceability of each unit. Collaborate with team members across machining, inspection, and quality control departments.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience with CNC operations in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with rotating equipment and precision tolerances. Strong attention to detail and quality.
