Job Description
A well known company is looking for a CNC Lathe and Milling Machine Operator
Responsibilities
Machine operation:
Programming CNC lathes and milling machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications.Monitoring:
Continuously monitor machine operations, making adjustments to speed and settings to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Quality control:
Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (like Vernier Calipers and micrometers) to ensure they meet required quality standards and specifications.Setup and maintenance:
Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting on the machines.Documentation:
Maintain accurate production records and logs.Collaboration:
Work with engineers, senior operators, and quality control teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.Training:
Training other employees on set up and operating CNC Lathe and milling machineSkills and qualifications
Proficiency in operating both lathe and milling machines (manual and CNC). Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Knowledge of materials, fits, and tolerances. Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers and micrometers
Soft skills:
Strong attention to detail and precision. Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and documentation skills.Education and experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training in machining or a related field is preferred. 3-5 years prior experience working with machine shop tools and equipment is essential.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
