Description

  • Should be prepared to travel as instructed by the line manager to supported sites
  • Ensure good working relations with all staff at supported sites
  • Ensure regular feedback to the program lead as instructed by line manager
  • Conduct systematic and analytical review of priority indicators under guidance of Local Program lead
  • Support sites in the implementation of current ART guidelines and policies
  • Ensure clinical stationary is well understood and completed by all staff at supported sites
  • Implement quality improvement plans
Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience
  • A diploma/Degree in Nursing
  • SANC Certificate & Registration
  • NIMART certificate, APC training
  • 3 years experience in Health Programme
  • PC literate (word and excel)
  • 1 year experience in a Technical Assistance role (Training, mentoring and quality improvement initiatives.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Verify DHIS and ETR.net data by auditing tools and registers for completeness, correctness and consistency
  • Work alongside DOH staff in facilities, providing mentorship and support so that the DOH staff become competent & keen to do the above
  • TB-related community capacity enhancement:
  • Work with trainers to determine sites, topics so that this supports their QIPs
  • Attend and help facilitate CCEs
  • Audit and report on the number of Rif Res TBs diagnosed in each district/facility (NHLS)
  • Ensure facilities have Stock Availability at all times and strategies to prevent stock outs
  • Establish the follow up process and referral system for patients with abnormal results
  • Evaluate the cervical cancer/ pap smear register completion including adequacy rates of smears
  • On the Job Training and Mentoring relevant for HIV/TB and related infections
  • Utilize DHIS data to determine facility performance regarding HCT coverage in the HIV cascade.
  • Assist the DoH staff in facilities to analyse bottlenecks and gaps early, provide support & mentorship in the implementation of the strategies.
  • Facilitate programme reviews at facilities using data and clinical audits.
