Reduce dysregulation and increase adaptive behavior. Support generalisation across settings.
Scope
Assessment, formulation, therapy, and skills training.
Caregiver coaching and inter-disciplinary coordination.
Documentation and outcomes reporting.
Core Responsibilities
Conduct brief functional/clinical assessments; build case formulation.
Set measurable emotional-regulation and behavior goals.
Deliver evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT skills, coping plans, exposure, behavioral skills training).
Provide parent strategies for co-regulation, reinforcement, and routines.
Define practice tasks for Therapy Assistant where appropriate.
Monitor risk indicators; set escalation and safety steps.
Deliverables
Formulation and treatment plan.
Session notes, monthly statements, final outcomes report.
Practical coping tools and step-by-step plans.
Skills
Structured, skills-based therapy with youth.
Data collection, progress evaluation, simple visuals for plans.
Tools
Telehealth platform, worksheets, behavior logs, rating scales.
Experience / Qualification
Degree in Psychology with child/adolescent focus.
Experience with neurodivergent profiles preferred.
KPIs
Reduction in dysregulation metrics.
Skill generalisation evidenced by caregiver report.
On-time documentation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: R280,00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week
