Requirements
Grade 12
Diploma / certificate in the following fields, quantity surveying,
project management, construction management, electrical
certificate advantageous
5 years' relevant experience preferable in construction or
engineering
Computer literacy
A valid Driver's licence (code B or C)
Key Performance Areas
Implementing procedures and monitors Contractors compliance
with standards and specifications in all facilities within W&S
directorate
Visiting specific worksites and conducting inspections to establish
materials, the construction of the works and procedures are in
accordance with design drawings, specifications, contractual
terms, conditions, and statutory regulations (Occupational Health
and Safety).
Informing Management of issues of non-conformity/ problems on
site and forwarding details of observations and findings.
Facilitate problem-solving sequences.
Providing support and guidance on specific procedural
requirements (recordkeeping, measurements, work organization
Performs specific administrative tasks or activities associated
with the updating and maintaining records of work in progress
and completed.
Writes and organise project documents. Categorize, file, share,
store and update all relevant documents used relating to the
project.
Attending site meetings and presenting / outlining scope, terms,
and conditions to contractors and, providing the necessary
guidance and clarity on standards of performance, productivity
levels and measurements
Develop the technical know-how and understanding of emerging
contractors on specific applications, procedures, and sequences
applicable to contracting and maintenance work.
