Job Title: Classroom assistant



Location: Junior Colleges Meyersdal



Hours: Full time



Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Teacher. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the lead teacher to provide support and assistance in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication and organizational skills.



Responsibilities:

Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson plans Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students Help students with assignments and classwork Monitor student progress and behavior Assist with classroom management and discipline Help prepare materials and resources for lessons Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with children in an educational setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude Knowledge of child development and educational practices CPR and First Aid certification a plus
