Curro Holdings seeks to appoint Class Assistant (full-time) at Curro Century City in Cape Town to commence duties in February 2026

Key performance areas

Work closely with the phase and class teachers to support the effective running of the phase and grade. Help create and maintain a positive, structured and educational classroom atmosphere that supports teaching and learning. Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities under the guidance of the teacher. Support the management of learner behaviour in line with school policies and classroom routines. Take responsibility for the proper use, care and safekeeping of school equipment, resources and stock assigned to the class and teacher. Assist with the organisation, supervision and promotion of sport and cultural activities within the school. Support teachers and the school with sport, co-curricular and administrative duties as and when required. Provide general classroom and administrative support, including preparation of materials, basic record keeping and communication with learners where appropriate. Demonstrate a personal commitment to education and willingness to contribute actively to the values, ethos and co-curricular life of the school.

Qualifications, experience and skills

Studying Toward B Ed Foundation Phase Relevant experience in a similar position 1 to 3 years' experience A clear criminal record
