Job Summary Qualifications: Proven experience in claims management in the car rental industry, non-negotiable. Must be based in Cape Town or willing to relocate Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage data for decision-making. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to claims management. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. This position is a management role and requires someone who has previously worked as a Claims Manager in car rental and not an administrator As a Claims Manager for a vehicle rental company, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end claims process, ensuring efficient and accurate resolution of claims related to vehicle damage, accidents, and other incidents. This role involves collaborating with external stakeholders such as insurance providers and legal entities. Key Responsibilities: Claims Process Oversight: Develop and implement effective claims processing procedures to ensure timely and accurate resolution. Monitor the entire claims lifecycle, from incident reporting to settlement, and implement improvements for efficiency. Investigation and Documentation: Conduct thorough investigations into reported incidents, collecting all relevant information and documentation. Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of claims, including photographs, witness statements, and police reports. Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments, including operations, customer service, and maintenance, to gather information and coordinate efforts for claim resolution. Collaborate with external stakeholders such as insurance providers, legal representatives, and law enforcement agencies to facilitate the claims process. Risk Management: Analyze claims data to identify trends and areas for risk mitigation. Work with the risk management team to develop strategies for minimizing future claims and losses. Generate regular reports on claims status, trends, and key performance indicators. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve overall claims management processes. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in the claims resolution process. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in claims management.
