Employment Opportunity: Civil Engineering Technician

Ndodana Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd, a reputable and growing consulting engineering firm, is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified

Civil Engineering Technician

to join our East London office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a wide range of civil engineering projects within a professional and supportive environment.

Minimum Requirements:

National Diploma in Civil Engineering. A minimum of six (6) years post-qualification experience in the civil engineering sector, with proven exposure in the consulting engineering environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with demonstrated drafting experience. Specific experience in wet services design, building platforms, and general road designs. Proven ability to produce accurate general layout plans and detailed drawings suitable for client presentations. Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake drafting and design tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with project specifications. Provide technical input and support for wet services, roadworks, and platform designs. Prepare general layout plans and detailed drawings for submission to and discussion with clients. Conduct quality monitoring on construction sites to ensure compliance with approved designs, standards, and specifications. Attend regular site meetings and provide feedback on technical and quality-related matters. Support engineers with project delivery from planning through to completion.

Strong technical skills and sound problem-solving ability. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors. Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
