Civil Engineer Technologist

Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivelent
- Registered as Pre.Eng technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- Member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE)
- Certificate in 5G mining / Digital mining compulsory
- MDP Certificate advantageous
- Project Management advantageous
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Minimum 8 years' experience as Civil Engineer Technologist in hard rock gold / platinum mining operations
- Experience in developing and reviewing SOPs and COPs
- Experience in developing projects in a 5G mine advantageous
- Experience with mine planning tools, such as XPAC, IntelliCAD, AutoCAD
- English
- Mandarin
- Computer literate
- Mine planning and support software such as SAP, XPAC, IntelliCAD and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of the relevant Acts regulating mining and engineering principles
- Able to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
- Good design skills
- Analytical problem-solving and planning
- High level of proficiency in writing technical reports and communication
- Budget and resource planning and management
- Adequate knowledge of 5G mining / Digital mining principles
- Mine Surface Infrastructure design and development
