Job Summary

A large multinational mining group is looking for a Civil Engineer: Surface Infrastructure who will engaged in the global exploration and development of copper, gold, zinc and lithium projects, as well as engineering and technological research.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Bachelor Honours Degree (BSc or B.Eng xe2x80x93 NQF8) in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Registered as professional engineer with the Engineering Council and South Africa (ECSA)
• Member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE)
• MDP Certificate advantageous
• Project Management Advantageous
• Quantity Survey certificate advantageous
• Valid drivers license

Experience required:

• Minimum 8 xe2x80x93 10 years experience as a Civil Engineer: Surface Infrastructure or similar in the mining industry
• Mininum 5 years or more practical experience in the construction of both surface and underground infrastructure for hard rock mining operation in a 5G-enabled mine
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in developing and reviewing SOPs and COPs
• Experience with mine planning tools such as XPAC, IntelliCAD, AutoCAD

Knowledge and Skills required:

• English
• Mandarin
• Computer Literate: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Mine planning and support asoftware such as SAP, XPAC, IntelliCAD and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of the relevant Acts regulating mining and engineering principles
• Able to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
• Good design skills
• Analytical problem-solving and planning
• High level of proficiency in writing technical reports and communication
• Budget and resource planning and management
• 5G mining principles in terms of Civil engineering both theory and implementation
