Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client's is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Draughtsman to join their team. As a Civil Draughtsman, you will play a crucial role in the planning and design of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings and plans, including architectural, structural, and mechanical designs, using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure designs adhere to specifications and meet the clients' requirements
• Review and analyze project drawings, blueprints, and survey documents to identify potential design issues and recommend improvements
• Conduct field visits to gather necessary data and measurements for design purposes
• Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and quantity take-offs
• Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates and material quantities
• Adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design and drafting proces

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Civil Draughtsman or in a similar role
• Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation
• Strong knowledge of construction design principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Strong time management and organizational abilities
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field
