Top Municipal Civil Engineering firm seeks Civil Design Engineer - Bulk Earthworks.

Undertake comprehensive civil design tasks, specialising in Bulk Earthworks, Stormwater Reticulation, Sewer Reticulation, Water Reticulation, platforms and assessments.

Non-Negotiables (We will check):

• BEE: Open to all

• 7 years Expertise in civil design using Modena Civil 3D software, with a focus on bulk earthworks.

• 7 years Proficiency in road design, sewer systems, and stormwater management.

• 7 years Contract administration and familiarity with GCC, Colto, and MIDIC contract types.

• 7 years Comprehensive understanding of municipal engineering principles.

What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Municipal Civil Engineering sector. All duties would take place in this context.

• Execute civil design tasks, with an emphasis on bulk earthworks and associated infrastructure.

• Prepare precise Bill of Quantities (BoQ) based on design specifications.

• Manage the design process, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards.

• Proficiently use Modena Civil 3D software for design and analysis.

• Administer contracts, including understanding various contract types and differentiations.

Key Job Deliverables:

• Accurate civil designs with a focus on bulk earthworks and related components.

• Precise Bill of Quantities for design projects.

• Timely completion of the design process and effective contract administration.

Qualifications & Background work experience:

• BEng or BTech Civil Engineering

• Developed detailed civil designs for bulk earthworks projects, effectively utilising Modena Civil 3D.

• Prepared accurate Bill of Quantities for civil design projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

• Managed the design process, meeting project timelines and design standards.

• Demonstrated expertise in contract administration, including differentiating between contract types.

• Advantageous: Site experience

Personality Summary:

Location: Durban North, KwaZulu-Natal

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R500K to R540K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
