Citrus Production Manager (Clanwilliam)
Our client is a leading grower, packer, and exporter of fresh fruit (citrus and table grapes) in South Africa. Their production units are situated across the Western Cape, with their head office in Bellville near Cape Town.
The company has a vacancy for a Production Manager at Radyn farm, a citrus and table grape farm in Clanwilliam. The position will report to the area manager and is available immediately.
Responsibilities:

• Production:

• Plant citrus, schedule irrigation, apply fertilizer, pest, plague and weed control, prune, harvest, monitoring, all manipulations
• Personnel and administration:

• Labor planning and management, recordkeeping, plan transport and accommodation, maintenance (equipment/ orchards/ general)
• Financial:

• Cost control by focusing on productivity

Job Requirements:

• Applicants should be post-matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture, with at least 4 years' experience in the cultivation of citrus
• Knowledge of modern production practices
• Specific knowledge/experience in irrigation practices will be to your advantage
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
