Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review control philosophies, P&IDs, and instrumentation specifications.
• Design and configure PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems using platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, and Schneider Electric.
• Specify and select field instrumentation including sensors, transmitters, actuators, and control valves.
• Oversee installation, calibration, and commissioning of control systems and instrumentation.
• Coordinate with EPCM teams to ensure integration of control systems with mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and optimization of control systems.
• Implement system upgrades and modifications to improve reliability and performance.
• Ensure systems comply with OHSA, SANS, and IEC standards.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:

• BEng/BSc in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in control and instrumentation within mining or heavy industry.
• Experience with industrial automation platforms and instrumentation integration.
• Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA.
• Strong understanding of control systems architecture and instrumentation design.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, PLC programming tools).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
