Chromatography & Mass Spec. Sales Specialist (CT)_LC_739 Scientific (Sales)
Essentials: MSc / PhD Chemistry or Biochemistry with 2 ~ 5 years external Sales experience with a proven sales track record in the sales of laboratory instrumentation plus 3 yrs hands-on lab experience using HPLC, GC AND Mass Spectroscopy. Excellent command of the English language (presentation & written). SA citizen, already residing in Cape Town, car and drivers license essential.
Location: Cape Town (with travel across Western & Northern Cape).
Salary: Market related.
DETAILS
Fantastic opportunity for a Scientist with proven, relevant sales experience to join an existing dynamic national sales team in a well-known Lab supply distributor company. The focus of the role will be on sales of Chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy related equipment and consumables, including HPLC, GC-MS, IEC, UPLC, ICP etc.
This position will suite someone who can build rapport with ease, and able to establish good connections and lasting relationships with people at various levels in the industry. The role is responsible for new business development and sales, by visiting customers, equipment demonstrations, after sales service and support. Strong attention to detail and good time management skills will be important attributes, to ensure efficient sales reporting, forward planning and sales related administrative tasks are conducted adequately.
This role is well supported by a strong infrastructure within the company, a varied customer base, strong leadership, excellent product ranges and experienced Application Specialists. Travel is integral to the position.
REQUIREMENTS

• MSC / PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry (or relevant)
• 2 ~ 5 years or more External Sales Rep experience is required
• 3 years + hands on lab experience using HPLC / GC / GCMS / ICP
• Highly skilled in communications and presentations in English
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills, ability to connect with people
• Independent worker with highly developed people skills
• Highly computer literate, strong time management skills
• SA citizen, residing in CT, with drivers license & own vehicle
