Description:
Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Chief Safety Officer to join their mining project (18-Months) based in Mpumalanga.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project-specific safety management plans and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with mining/construction health and safety legislation and standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate safety training and awareness programs for all project personnel
  • Monitor contractor safety performance and enforce safety protocols
  • Interface with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting of incidents
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership and engagement
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma/Degree in Safety Management or equivalent
  • Registered with SACPCMP as HSE Manager/Safety Manager
  • Certified training in: HIRA, Incident Investigations, Legal Liability
  • 10 years' experience in construction
  • Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations and Labour Laws.
  • Valid Driver's License
