Job Description
- Define and implement growth strategies and processes
- Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement
- Develop a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives
- Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency and quality
- Assess and manage the principal risks of the company
- Ensure that the company's financial performance and growth are robust
- Review and approve the company's financials, budget, and investments
- Establish and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders
A successful Chief Operating Officer (COO) should have:
- A degree in Business Management, or related field
- At least 20 years experience in senior operations leadership positions in either the freight or logistics sector
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
- An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organisational and leadership skills
- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
