Job Summary Our client, a Leader in the Automotive Manufacturing industry is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to be based in their Johannesburg, West Rand, Gauteng Operation. COMPENSAGE PACKAGE ON OFFER : Competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualification. Salary: R150,000.00 - R300,000.00 per month envisaged. MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE : To lead, strategize, and innovate all efforts to provide top-tier transportation and logistics services, with a specific emphasis on trailer manufacturing and truck sales. To shape the organization''s future and guarantee ongoing success. KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS : At minimum a bachelors degree in finance, Business, Logistics or a related field is required. A CA(SA) or master''s degree in a related discipline is advantageous. At least 10 years experience as a COO in a similar industry is essential. Proven leadership experience in the transportation and logistics industry, with a focus on trailer manufacturing and truck sales. Strong background in operations management and process optimization. Exceptional communication and leadership skills. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Strategic Direction: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute operational strategies in line with the company''s growth and financial objectives. Resource Allocation: Oversee the effective allocation of resources, including personnel, vehicles, and equipment, to meet operational goals and maintain cost-effectiveness. Quality Assurance: Ensure that our trailer manufacturing and truck sales operations meet the highest standards of quality and customer expectations. Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives. Operational Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage our operational teams to ensure the seamless and efficient functioning of our daily operations. Logistics and Distribution: Lead our logistics and distribution teams to optimize transportation routes, warehouse operations, and inventory management, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of commodities. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions. Customer Focus: Uphold and enhance the highest levels of customer service standards, promptly addressing any operational issues that may impact customer satisfaction. Compliance and Safety: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental sustainability. Implement safety measures to protect our workforce, assets, and the environment.
