Position : Chief Operating Officer (C.O.O.) Sector : F.M.C.G. Reports to : Chief Executive Officer Minimum Qualifications

• Preferably a B.Com Degree with Financial Accounting as major.
• Ideal qualification would be Chartered Accountant.

Minimum experience

• No less than 15-20 years in Wholesale/Retail (FMCG Sector).
• 10 years of which in Mid to Senior Management positions.
• A minimum of 5 years at Executive Management level.

Knowledge & skills required

• Proven experience as COO or other senior managerial position.
• Experience in the management of senior staff / departmental heads. Five (5) to six (6) persons will report directly to him on a phased introduction basis.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, logistics, procurement/buying and wholesale/retail trading in multiple stores.
• Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• An eye for detail.
• Good at planning and organising.
• Strong at communicating.
• A good leader.
• The courage to make difficult decisions when required.
• A high level of business awareness and acumen.
• Note: It is the intention to appoint a candidate as the second-in-charge to the CEO in order to shadow him and ultimately take over full control of the business. To this extent, this is a career opportunity where the sky is the limit.

Cost to Company Package
Incentive/Profit Share: There will be an incentivised portion.

• The candidate MUST be in good standing with all arms of law enforcement agencies of the country.
• Must be resident in the Port Shepstone area where the head office is based. Candidate must be willing to relocate to the South Coast of KZN.
