The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping, executing, and overseeing the organisation's technology and digital strategy. This role will focus on establishing and integrating enterprise business platforms across Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics, while driving operational efficiency and enabling long-term growth.
The CIO will ensure that technology investments align with business objectives, deliver measurable value, and are implemented on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership in IT strategy, digital transformation, and analytics enablement within a logistics and supply-chain-oriented organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement the organisation's IT and digital strategy, aligned to core business objectives.
Drive enterprise platform integration across Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and executive team on technology-enabled business growth.
Enterprise Systems & Platforms
Lead the design, selection, and implementation of core business platforms (ERP, HRIS, Procurement, Supply Chain Management).
Ensure interoperability, scalability, and security of business systems.
Oversee data integration, governance, and workflow optimisation across functions.
Project Delivery & Governance
Establish strong project management disciplines, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Implement effective vendor and contract management frameworks.
Champion risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity across the organisation.
Data, Analytics & Innovation
Build and scale enterprise analytics platforms to support advanced reporting, decision-making, and AI/ML capabilities.
Establish data governance, master data management, and data confidence initiatives.
Drive business insights through predictive analytics, with specific focus on logistics and supply chain optimisation.
Operational Leadership
Lead and develop the IT organisation, fostering a high-performance culture.
Manage IT budgets, cost optimisation, and value realisation.
Ensure effective service delivery across all business functions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field (essential). (NQF8)
Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent (preferred).
Professional certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, or COBIT (advantageous).
Experience
Minimum 5+ years in a senior CIO role or equivalent executive IT leadership position.
Demonstrated experience in establishing and integrating enterprise platforms (ERP/HR/Finance/Procurement/Supply Chain).
Proven track record of developing and executing IT strategies in alignment with business priorities.
Successful delivery of large-scale projects on time and within budget.
Experience within logistics, supply chain, or related sectors (preferred).
Strong background in implementing and scaling data analytics platforms and capabilities.
