Core Purpose:
To lead the transformation of the world of work for Labournet. The CHRO will drive the design and implementation of a high-performance organisation (HPO) through an integrated HR ecosystem-encompassing talent, culture, compliance, and technology-while positioning LabourNet as an employer of choice.
Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute Labournet's HR strategy aligned to the Group Framework and BHAG.
  • Lead organisational design and change management initiatives across all divisions.
  • Champion the creation of a Learning Organisation.
Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Design and continuously improve the full employee lifecycle: Attract, Recruit, Onboard, Develop, Reward, Retain, and Exit.
  • Define and promote Labournet's Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
  • Implement best practices in onboarding, performance management (BSC, OKRs), and recognition.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
  • Build talent pipelines through varsity feeder schemes and internal development.
  • Promote Labournet as an employer of choice through branding, awards, and thought leadership.
  • Develop and implement the Employment Equity plan.
Learning & Development
  • Oversee bursary programs, mentorship, and coaching.
  • Align WSP & ATR to PDPs and succession planning to the Employment Equity plan.
  • Drive leadership development and HPO training.
Culture & Engagement
  • Lead culture surveys, value nominations, and internal communications.
  • Enhance and promote whistleblower and shout-out programs to reinforce values.
Reward & Incentives
  • Refine job grading and benchmarking.
  • Align incentives to career paths and performance metrics.
HR Analytics & Reporting
  • Deliver actionable insights through data reporting at Group, Regional, and Product levels.
  • Use platform tools to automate and benchmark HR performance.
Employment Relations & Wellness
  • Ensure compliance to all Employment Relations initiatives.
  • Monitor wellness programs and EAP initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience required:
  • 4 -5 years of experience in a HR Management or similar role with the emphasis on the following:
  • Proven track record in strategic HR leadership within complex, multi-divisional organisations.
  • Experience in organisational design, change management, and building high-performance cultures.
  • Demonstrated success in employer branding, talent acquisition, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Strong background in HR analytics, compliance, and employment relations.
  • Experience engaging with executive leadership, boards, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Honours degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology or related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., IPM, CHRO South Africa) are advantageous.
  • Exposure to leadership development frameworks (e.g., Blanchard, Enneagram, 4 Disciplines of Execution).
