Our ASX listed client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer who will be responsible for managing the Group's business, strategic planning, compliance, financial controls, employee performance, corporate governance, and engagement with consultants to achieve the Company's objectives. This is a Greenfields project in its final stages of test work and capital raising, paving the way for the upcoming project rollout. The incumbent will serve as COO for the initial six month before transitioning into the role of CEO. The ideal incumbent will have extensive experience working within the mining industry on Start-up or Greenfields projects.

Responsibilities:

Managing the business and operations of the Group including, without limitation, creating, communicating and implementing strategic and tactical plans and managing operational functions to achieve the Companyxe2x80x99s objectives.
Provide regular reports and updates to the Board as needed.
Implementing and supervising procedures to ensure compliance with the Listing Rules including, without limitation, all disclosure and reporting obligations.
Liaising with the Companyxe2x80x99s accountants to ensure adequate and appropriate financial controls are in place for the Group.
Initiating and reviewing continuous improvement in administrative and other support functions.
Implementing employment policies and development of an effective and valued performance management framework.
Ensuring the proper implementation of the Companyxe2x80x99s corporate governance policies, procedures and systems.
Formulating strategies to promote and improve the financial performance of the Group.
Oversee and manage the Group's workforce to ensure optimal productivity and a conducive working environment.
Engage and guide specialized consultants and advisors, as needed, to enhance Group operations and decision-making.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

15 xe2x80x93 25 years or more of relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Mining Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Metallurgy, Environmental Science, or Business Administration (MBA).
Extensive firsthand experience in the mining industry, commencing at the entry level as a Miner and progressing through the ranks by building a strong foundation from the ground up.
Proficient in project management skills.
Experience working in complex environments.
Demonstrate a solid understanding and proficiency in engaging with bureaucracies prevalent in the sub-Saharan region.
Demonstrate the ability to represent a Company with confidence and poise in the various public forums.
Start up or Greenfields experience is advantageous.
