Job Summary This fine dining 80 seater wine estate restaurant on the R44 / Somerset West side of Stellenbosch offers trend setting cuisine matched with award winning local wines. Offering a choice of either 3 or 7 courses paired with wines, the food style has a distinct overseas flair with intricate plating components, beautifully styled and eclectic flavours of Asia, Europe, the far East and India. Open Tuesday to Saturday offering lunch and dinner service only and a team of 9 chefs. ProStaffSelect are in search of a highly passionate young chef who show true initiative and determination in pursuing their dream in the culinary arts. Our multi-award winning head chef offers each brigade member the opportunity of rotating through the brigade to gain experience in ALL CULINARY DISCIPLINES. The production methods and culinary techniques used are very advanced and require a chefs full attention and focus with an employment commitment of at least 2 years. REQUIREMENTS: Recognised 1 or 2 years FULL-TIME Cheffing Qualification. Minimum 3 year experience within a strict fine dining team. Ability to engineer and create weekly changing tapas / amuse bouche for wine tasting guests. Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills to HOST guests at the wine tasting entre to support the sommelier's wine pairings . Must be PASSIONATE about food, know your basics, display a positive attitude and truly excited about your cheffing career and goals. OWN TRANSPORT is essential as access for Taxis at the main entrance and on the very long "estate road" is not allowed.
