A beautiful five-star wine estate and fine dining restaurant in the Paarl, Cape Winelands region is seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join their award-winning culinary team.
Description
The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder in the kitchen, confident in all sections including hot, cold, and pastry (some pastry experience will be a definite advantage). You should bring at least 3-4 years of experience in a fine-dining or luxury establishment and demonstrate a strong understanding of high-quality plating, consistency, and modern cooking techniques.
We are also open to seasonal chefs seeking a shorter fixed-term contract -- flexibility can be discussed during the interview process.
Minimum Requirements
- 3-4 years' experience in a similar five-star or fine dining environment
- Culinary qualification preferred
- Excellent knowledge of all kitchen sections (hot, cold, and pastry)
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Passion for producing exceptional cuisine using local, seasonal ingredients
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
Highly negotiable basic salary depending on current earnings
