Chef de Partie (Breakfast Kitchen) - Leisure Resort | Garden Route, South Africa
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef de Partie (Breakfast Kitchen) to join a culinary team at a luxurious 5-star resort located in the beautiful Garden Route. This role focuses on managing and delivering exceptional breakfast service across the resort's dining outlets. As Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of the breakfast kitchen section, ensuring consistent quality, timely service, and adherence to the highest culinary and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and present high-quality breakfast dishes in line with the resort's 5-star standards
-Manage the breakfast kitchen section efficiently during service times
-Maintain consistency in taste, portion control, and presentation
-Support inventory control, stock rotation, and minimise food wastage
-Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
-Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and special breakfast events
-Assist with training and mentoring junior kitchen staff in your section
Requirements:
-A Chef's Diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognised culinary institution
-Minimum 2 years' experience working in a professional kitchen, with exposure to breakfast or similar breakfast-focused sections
-Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
-Strong organisational and communication skills
-Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
-Willingness to work early shifts, weekends, and public holidays
