Join our culinary team at The Willets, a charming boutique hotel renowned for its exquisite dining experience. We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to elevate our food service to new heights. Position: Chef Location: The Willets Boutique Hotel
Working Days: 6 Days a Week
Food Service Hours: 7am to 3pm
Rate: R500 per day

Responsibilities:

• A la Carte Breakfast: Prepare and cook made-to-order breakfast items with finesse.
• Lunch Service: Showcase your culinary skills by crafting delicious lunch offerings.
• Baking Excellence: Create delectable cakes and scones that delight our guests.
• Menu Planning: Develop and implement creative and efficient menu plans.
• Dietary Awareness: Understand and accommodate dietary requirements for a diverse clientele.
• Sanitation Standards: Uphold and exceed minimum standards of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Health and Safety: Manage kitchen health and safety requirements for a safe working environment.
• Stock Management: Conduct weekly stock takes and handle purchasing responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Proven culinary experience with a portfolio showcasing your previous work.
• Ability to cook a variety of dishes, including omelettes, French toast, English-style breakfasts, continental breakfasts, burgers, fish and chips, salads, chicken dishes, and desserts.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and schedules.

Requirements:

• Availability to work 6 days a week during the designated food service hours.
• Contactable references from previous employers.
• Passion for maintaining high standards in culinary arts.
• Positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.
