Im looking for a reliable and motivated Studio Assistant to support the daily running of the production aspects of the ceramics studio. This role is ideal for someone with a creative inclination, a calm and steady personality, and an interest in learning about ceramics and studio processes.
Key Responsibilities
General studio maintenance and clean-up
Clay recycling and preparation
Assisting with basic studio and stock organisation
Producing simple, repeatable stock items on the potters wheel or via handbuilding
Supporting day-to-day studio operations as needed
Skills & Attributes
Willingness to learn and follow studio processes
Creative and arts-oriented mindset
Calm, steady, and methodical approach to work
Physically able to handle clay and studio tasks
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
Respectful of tools, materials, and shared studio spaces
Experience
Knowledge of basic ceramics is required, will teach as needed.
Previous studio or hands-on creative experience is an advantage
This role is well suited to someone looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in a working ceramics studio
Contract & Growth
Initial 3-month temporary contract, with the possibility of renewal
