Centre Consumables Category Manager

Job Purpose

Our teams purpose is to drive efficiency, simplicity and sustainability into the operations of centres across the IWG brands, all over the world.

We aim to simplify the role of our community managers, by removing from them the burden of supply chain activities, allowing them to focus on providing our customers with a great day at work. This involves the centralisation of our supply chain activities, and globalisation of our standards and processes.

You will work with the Supply Chain Operations Director to support the implementation of programmes designed to reduce the operating costs of our centres across the world. Our objective is to reduce the year on year running costs for centres, without negatively impacting our customer experience, which makes this both a challenging, but equally rewarding role.

We are also working hard to make positive changes to the way we run our business, which includes finding environmentally friendly, suitable and affordable innovations across all our workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for delivering a defined savings vs. 2022 operating costs for each consumable category (paper, coffee, tea etc) across the world
• Responsible for delivering existing programmes, such as our Sustainability swaps working with key vendors like Staples, Lyreco and others to help deliver a reduction in our landfill waste
• Define, develop and deploy new programmes to assist the team objectives to drive efficiency, simplicity and sustainability into the operations of centres
• Identify expensive products and vendors, to then identify and provide recommendations for more cost effective solutions to reduce our consumables spend
• Feed into our monthly stock take process and work closely with our Supply Chain Controllers to ensure we are optimising our monthly purchases
• Analyse the P&L of key markets to identify trends and work on action plans to improve country performance
• Review and approve our global stock list to ensure global compliance, and ensure this is maintained and adhered to across all markets
• Support the global operations team in deploying programmes as required

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Can demonstrate +3 years of experience in an operational or category management background
• Analytical, can use data to identify opportunities and help prioritise workload
• Proven experience within procurement or supply chain, negotiating with vendors
• Can demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness to enable you to understand the impact of your decisions on IWG performance, and your stakeholders
• An independent problem solver, capable of understanding concerns, identifying solutions and executing action plans.
