REQUIREMENTS

3 to 5 years of experience in the Security Industry

3 to 5 years of Control Room/CCTV Operator Experience

Matric - Valid National Senior Certificate

Control room environment experience

Be organised and have good time management skills

Have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Have the ability to work well as part of a team

Be able to self-motivate and motivate others around them.

Be responsible and reliable

Computer literate

Fluent in English and Afrikaans

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Grade A or B CCTV Surveillance Operator is to ensure an efficient operation of the Control Room

Monitor CCTV cameras and initiate appropriate response to suspicious activities

Monitor perimeter fence lines at night and ensure suspicious activity is reported to the night guards

Monitor beams, electric fencing, alarms, strobe lights covering our AC's and solar panels on our roof areas

Ensure the relevant staff compliment is full at each site daily

Monitor view screens effectively and to take any remedial or immediate action

Be proactive in identifying possible incidents and alerting the on-site guards at the various sites

Must be able to multi task from CCTV monitoring position to answering telephone calls and or answering on-site radios at our various sites

To be the first point of contact when an incident occurs

To call the required emergency services (SAPS, Medics, Armed Response, Fire Services) when an incident arises on site

To monitor the LPR cameras and ensure that alerts are managed and reported to the local authorities

Record all events and actions in a clear and accurate format

Ensure the control room and all equipment is fully operational and always well maintained

Ensure that all on site CCTV cameras are easily viewable, clean and in working order

Report cameras that are down same day to the facilities team

To operate all equipment and cameras and to always comply with the security and operational control room procedures

Assist in resolving tenant / customer complaints

Must be able to multi task from CCTV monitoring position to answering telephone calls and or answering on-site radios at our various sites

To be the first point of contact when an incident occurs

To call the required emergency services (SAPS, Medics, Armed Response, Fire Services) when an accident or incident arises on site

To keep the guards at various sites alert
