Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the linkage of business strategy to sourcing strategy and initiatives of a particular category (a group of commodities with similar supply market facing characteristics) of goods and services by identifying value creation opportunities, identifying risks, managing spend and strategic project demands to produce enhanced business results by focusing on delivering customer service excellence and shareholder value. Key categories under management include: Construction, construction professional services (architects, QS and engineers) racking, shelving, retail store equipment, fixtures, displays, FM, Equipment, Operations. Role Requirements:

• Support the ISM Tower lead in development of multi-year enterprise sourcing strategy and savings roadmap for the specific category tower.
• Develop category strategies and category strategic plans for categories under management, validating them with the Tower lead and the respective internal customer/s/ business stakeholder.
• Assist in drafting, checking and management of business requirements for retail store build and installations for categories.
• Perform market intelligence and validate data analysis and converts actionable insights into category strategy recommendations.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global/ local supply markets, competitors, and product innovations in the specific category.
• Procurement technology awareness and leveraging best practice technologies to drive supplier management.
• Expertise in category management and strategic sourcing these categories of Construction, construction professional services (architects, QS, and engineers) racking, shelving, retail store equipment, fixtures, displays, FM, Equipment, Operations
• Work with cross functional stakeholder groups (especial Real Estate Development team) to understand and document their business requirements for the particular category.
• Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives for all strategic sourcing projects, including fact-based negotiations (supplier and industry analysis. benchmarks, cost structure analysis) for all managed categories.
• Define project goals, timelines, roles and responsibilities and an overall project management plan.
• Lead the development and execution of Go-To Market and negotiation strategy.
• Work with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procured contain all details of the negotiation and tender terms and conditions.
• Support the improvement in Preferential Procurement Spend and Enterprise and Supplier Development.
• Develop reporting to Senior Management and VPxe2x80x99s.
• Develop comprehensive implementation and communication plans with stakeholders and end users.
• Manage complex supplier and strategic partner relationships and contracts.
• Increase total contract spend under categories managed for the respective tower.
• Increase spend under management for the respective tower.
• Improve voice of the customer and voice of the supplier metrics.
• Improve BBBEE compliance (Preferential Procurement and ESD Score).
• Contribute to the improvement ISM Maturity.
• Achieve financial targets.
• Adoption of new ways of work and technology enablers.
• Manage metrics to influence demand management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Quantity Surveying (QS) or equivalent Real Estate Qualifications (NQF 7)

Advantageous:

• MCIPS (Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply),
• PMP (Project Management Professional),
• SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional),
• Business Process Management,
• Analytics Certification

Experience: 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing of store development or construction within retail industry (Grocery, general merchandise or clothing retailers) or property development/landlord entity with a demonstrated track record of results and increasing level of responsibility preferred. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary Salary: Up to R980,000.00 per year Experience:
