Job Description

The ideal person will be in possession of an N2 in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, a valid Refrigeration Trade Test and Ammonia Refrigeration Certificate, plus 2-4 years relevant experience; a SARACCA Registered Category B Ammonia Gas Practitioner; and HACCP.
Requirements:

Schedule and planning of maintenance work to be performed on DMS
Compiling periodic breakdown reports
Maintenance and repair of refrigeration compressors
Maintenance and repair of the heat exchangers
Monitoring and maintenance and repair of air compressors
Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the condensers and the water softener system
Responsible for all the valve stations on the plant
Liaising with the Foreman on the prevention of the re-occurrence of breakdowns
Liaising with the Maintenance Planner to ensure the availability of critical spares
Attending to breakdown timeously
Analysing and ascertaining the root-cause-analysis of breakdowns
Job cards input correctly submitted
Attending to job cards submitted for the required work
Managing the critical spares requirements for all equipment
Assessing machinery & equipment break down and required spares
Responsible for operating the machine according to SOPs and Health and Safety procedures
Assembling, installing and/or repairing relevant machinery
The successful candidate will report directly to the Refrigeration Foreman at the Maintenance Department
