In order to effectively support all of our bootcamp students throughout their learning and job search journey, our team needs to grow too. This role will report to the Director of Career Services and has the opportunity to make a massive impact, both on QuickStart and the lives of the students we serve.
Responsibilities
, include but are not limited to:
Student Engagement & Program Management
Administer career services programming and placement initiatives for an assigned caseload of IT bootcamp students.
Onboard and educate assigned caseload on Career Services' suite of tools, including Prentus; Enhancv; Pepelwerk; Stellarworx.
Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions for assigned caseload including, but not limited to goal setting; LinkedIn profile development; resume guidance; career path mapping; interview prep, practice, and debrief; introductions; and general job search support.
Assist students in setting goals and provide consistent accountability for active participation in programming to ensure activity level supports goal attainment and QuickStart placement goals.
Review assigned Jobseeker profiles to determine readiness for talent portal visibility.
Actively seek opportunities to refer or recommend assigned Jobseekers for job opportunities, utilizing employer partners and own professional network.
Maintain relationships with assigned caseload beyond placement, inviting & encouraging alumni to remain engaged in Prentus talent community and providing ongoing career support and guidance as requested with a goal of one alumni mentor signup per month.
Monitor and track student and alumni outcomes, updating records, collecting satisfaction data/testimonial and ensuring that the career services program is meeting the needs of the community.
Conduct follow-up meetings with each alum and corresponding employer within 3 months of hire to track outcomes & satisfaction.
Partner/Employer Outreach
Initiate and maintain communication with employers/partners to strengthen relationship, increase engagement, maximize mutual benefits of the partnership, and increase overall placement rate.
Engage employers and industry partners receptive/committed to hiring bootcamp candidates.
Actively promote assigned students to partners & employers utilizing Prentus and other available tools.
Actively develop and maintain a database of potential employers, tracking engagement and outcomes to inform future outreach efforts.
Team Collaboration
Attend and participate in team meetings, providing updates on career services program goals and outcomes, and collaborating with team members to achieve overall goals.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, alumni, and community partners, to advance the career services program goals.
Maintain updated notes on each assigned jobseeker and each student interaction.
Minimum Qualifications
:
Bachelors degree in Management or Human Resources
In-depth familiarity and experience with LinkedIn (both profiles and capabilities)
Experience and comfort with presenting live virtual educational sessions
2+ years of experience in coaching (life, career, business) or counseling
At least 1 year of successful experience working remotely in a customer-facing role with a relationship-based orientation (what we do is NOT transactional)
Customer service experience is a big plus, as is experience in a fast-paced, constantly shifting environment
