The overall purpose of the job is to drive the employability of Rosebank College Graduates, which includes the sourcing of suitable entry-level positions and preparing students/graduates to ensure they meet the professional and operational standards set by employers.Duties and Responsibilities: * Graduate Support and administration:

  • Daily Face to Face and virtual CV consultation with students and graduates. Process graduate curriculum vitae submitted to the department to the requirements as set by the department.
  • Pre- interview briefings and calls prior to referring the student/graduate to a client.
  • Continuous update of the graduate database with current employment information.
  • Follow up with clients to check on the graduate performance and possible new job specs.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, Year-end Campus and National Stats for placements.
  • Graduate Workshops/Career Coaching:
  • Ensure that a register is available in the office for graduates that would like to book for a coaching session.
  • Invite graduates to the Work readiness coaching session by calling, sending an SMS and email.
  • Call and ensure all graduates are career coached and document reasons for their unavailability on the database.
  • Assist manager with the planning and implementation of all events such as exhibitions, job shadowing, Learnerships, internships, voluntary work experience which promotes the services offered by the department.
  • Assist in Organising venue, IT support, security for directions, refreshments and GEP process documents for the training session.
  • File complete graduate packs which include Graduate forms, CVs, IDs, Certificates and transcripts. Planning and manning of GEP Exhibition table at the Graduation Ceremony.
  • Student Support and Employability visibility on Campus:
  • Share Job adverts with the student relations WhatsApp Group and student portal as well as the notice board.
  • Assist with the class visits during orientation to market our services and engage current students.
  • Planning and execution of the Careers Fair Exhibition and other student focused events.
  • Business Development and Client Interaction:
  • Market services of department to existing and new clients (prospective employees)
  • Obtain job descriptions and company specifications for entry level positions
  • Match graduate CVs from database to job descriptions and company specifications
  • Obtain authorisation from graduates before CV's are submitted to prospective employers
  • Prepare client presentation pack for management approval, which must include:
  • Rosebank College Company Profile
  • Departmental Profile and Service Offering
  • Schedule of shortlisted graduates
  • Graduate CV's
  • Present candidates where possible during sit-down session with prospective employer
  • Ask and confirm that CV's meet the expectations of the prospective employer
  • Arrange interviews with shortlisted graduates
  • Provide graduates with the job requirements and overview of the prospective employers
  • Ensure graduates are fully prepared for the interview
  • Obtain interview feedback from candidates after interview
  • Obtain interview feedback from prospective employer
  • Where prospective employer wants to make an offer to interviewed graduates, help facilitate the end-to-end process
  • Follow up with graduate and ensure he/she is fully prepared for first day at the office
  • Follow up with graduate at the end of his/her first day and first week at the office
Minimum Requirements:
  • Relevant 3-year Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Human Resources or Related Qualification
  • 2 to 3 years experience in the similar role.

Working Hours:
Classes are scheduled from 08h00am until 17h00pm, Monday to Friday.Salary:
