The Campus Manager will oversee the overall operations, administration, and performance of the Durban campus. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective academic delivery, student experience, staff management, compliance, and alignment with AIFT's vision of delivering cutting-edge education in the 4IR/5IR space.
The incumbent will provide strategic leadership, operational excellence, and accountability for student growth, campus reputation, and adherence to accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Strategy
Provide overall leadership for academic and operational staff at the Durban campus.
Translate institutional goals into campus-level strategies to drive enrolments, student retention, and academic success.
Ensure the campus aligns with AIFT's "FutureTech" vision and branding.
2. Academic & Student Management
Oversee academic delivery, timetables, and workload allocation for lecturers and facilitators.
Ensure student support services (advising, counselling, mentoring) are in place and effective.
Drive student enrolment campaigns and ensure enrolment targets are met.
Manage student discipline, appeals, and grievances in line with AIFT policy.
3. Operational & Administrative Oversight
Ensure smooth day-to-day campus operations including facilities, IT, and student administration.
Monitor and report on absenteeism, staff performance, and campus KPIs.
Maintain compliance with CHE, DHET, and other regulatory requirements.
Prepare reports, budgets, and submissions for the Head Office.
4. Human Capital Management
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate campus staff (academic and non-academic).
Conduct performance appraisals and implement staff development plans.
Manage recruitment, onboarding, and disciplinary matters in coordination with HR.
5. Marketing, Sales & Stakeholder Engagement
Implement and monitor campus-level marketing, exhibitions, and community engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with the National Sales Team to achieve registration targets.
Build partnerships with schools, corporates, and community organisations.
Represent AIFT at events, forums, and accreditation visits.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree (Honours or above preferred) in Education, Business Management, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years in academic/operations management, preferably within higher education or private tertiary institutions.
Skills:
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management ability.
Strong operational, financial, and administrative acumen.
Ability to balance compliance with innovative campus growth strategies.
